Box office success in Spain for The Bookshop

Isabel Coixet’s new film, starring Emily Mortimer, Bill Nighy and Patricia Clarkson, has opened in 115 screens and grossed almost 500.000 €, being the best average per location of the weekend. World sales are handled by Celsius Entertainment. Capelight will distribute The Bookshop in Germany.

Hier at Connecting Cottbus Pitch

Bálint Kenyeres’ debut feature was selected for the “Work In Progress” programme at Connecting Cottbus and will compete for the “COCO Post Pitch Award“. The project is also looking for distribution and world sales.

The Bookshop awarded as Best International Literary Adaptation

Isabel Coixet’s upcoming feature won the prize for Best International Literary Adaption for „The Bookshop“ at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2017. World sales are handled by Celsius Entertainment. German distributor is Capelight.

Freedom's international festival run

After premiering in Locarno’s competition, Jan Speckenbach’s second feature competed in Säo Paulo, Valladolid and Hof. The film also screened at CPH Pix, in Haifa and Warsaw. Next stop is Berlin (14 Films Around the World). World Sales are handled by Pluto Film, Film Kino Text will release in Germany in the beginning of 2018.

Under the Tree picked as Icelandic foreign-language Oscar candidate

After premiering at the festivals of Venice and Toronto, the black comedy by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurdsson was sold to US distributor Magnolia Pictures. World sales are handled by New Europe Film Sales.

Freedom in competition at the 70th Locarno Festival

Jan Speckenbach’s second feature will play in competition at the 70th Locarno Festival. The film stars Johanna Wokalek and Hans-Jochen Wagner and was funded by MBB, Kuratorium JDF, FFA and Slovak AVF. World Sales are handled by Pluto Film, Film Kino Text will release in Germany in the beginning of 2018.

Sol Bondy

Sol Bondy

was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized by Screen International as one of the “Future Leaders: Producers” (2013) and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.

Jamila Wenske

Jamila Wenske

was born in Bad Saarow and grew up in Berlin. Following her studies in film production at the Film University Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg, she graduated from the German-French masterclass Atelier Network for young European producers in Ludwigsburg and Paris. She was selected to be part of the ACE program by Ateliers du Cinéma Européen in 2014 and is a member of the ACE Producers Network and the European Film Academy.

Christoph Lange

Christoph Lange

was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then, he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.

Fred Burle

Fred Burle

is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as film critic, at the world sales company The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival and lectured in the University of Brasilia and in the European Film College.
