Jan Speckenbach’s Freedom competes in the category Best Fiction. Since 1964, the Grimme Prize honors television programs that contribute to an excellent use of the specific possibilities of the TV medium and can serve as a role model for television practice in terms of form and content. The award ceremony takes place at the Grimme Institute in Marl on January 29.

The County opens in January 2020 as Milchkrieg in Dalsmynni
After premiering at Toronto IFF and at Hamburg IFF, our Icelandic co-production opens in German cinemas on January 9th! The film is Grímur Hákonarson’s follow-up to Rams, which won Cannes Un Certain Regard back in 2014 and went on to get almost half a million admissions in Europe. International critics have been very positive. Alamode Film will distribute in Germany. New Europe Film Sales handles international sales.
German premiere of The County in Hamburg
Grímur Hákonarson’s latest feature will celebrate its German premiere competing at the Filmfest Hamburg. The film was reviewed warmly at its international premiere in Toronto: „Arndis Hronn Egilsdottir gives a commanding performance as Inga, Hákonarson keeps it focused and involving to achieve a satisfying conclusion“ (SCREEN) and „an audience-pleasing Icelandic drama that is the yin to ‚Rams‘ yang“. (VARIETY). The film will be released in Germany by Alamode and has already secured distribution in over 20 countries. Sales are handled by New Europe Film Sales.

was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized as „Future Leader“ by Screen International and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program in 2013. In 2018, he was named one of the „10 Producers to Watch” by Variety. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.
was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.
is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as film critic, at the world sales company The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College.
Alina Bohn was born and raised in Munich. After graduation from school, she did a trainee programme as a management assistant in audiovisual media. She worked as
