Persian Lessons sold to North America

After receiving a standing ovation at its wold premiere during the Berlinale, US-distributor Cohen Media acquired Vadim Perelman’s Persian Lessons for North America. Sales agent Memento International also closed deals for other key territories such as France (KMBO), Latin America (California Filmes), Spain (Avalon), Scandinavia (Scanbox), AU/NZ (Rialto), South Korea (Jinjin Pictures), China (Infotainment) and Poland (Best Film), for a total of over 50 countries. The German release will be on May 7 through Alamode Film.

Free TV Premiere of The Tale

Named a „landmark advance in the field of cinematic memoir“ by Variety after it’s 2018 Sundance premiere, Jennifer Fox’s film The Tale will be aired on free TV in France and Germany this Friday, March 6, at 20.15 CET. The film stars Laura Dern, Ellen Burstyn and Elizabeth Debicki and was nominated at the Primetime Emmys, Golden Globes and Indpendent Spirit Awards, among others, after being sold worldwide to HBO.

Now the film finally screens on ARTE, who were one of the first to believe in this ambitious and important project.

World Premiere of Persian Lessons at Berlinale 2020

We’re extremely honored to celebrate the world premiere of Vadim Perelman’s Persian Lessons as a Berlinale Special Gala Screening at Berlinale Palast. The film stars Nahuel Pérez Biscayart and Lars Eidinger and is co-produced with Hype Film in Russia. Alamode Film will distribute in Germany. World sales are handled by Memento Films, who have already pre-sold multiple territories.

Leonard Kunz nominated for the German Critic's Award

Leonard Kunz was nominated in the category Best Actor for his role in The Most Beautiful Couple.
Congratulations on this deserved achievement and fingers crossed for the award ceremony, which will take place during the Berlinale 2020, on February 24. 

Freedom is nominated for the Grimme Prize 2020

Jan Speckenbach’s Freedom competes in the category Best Fiction. Since 1964, the Grimme Prize honors television programs that contribute to an excellent use of the specific possibilities of the TV medium and can serve as a role model for television practice in terms of form and content. The award ceremony takes place at the Grimme Institute in Marl on January 29. 

Three Jupiter Awards’ Nominations for The Most Beautiful Couple

Sven Taddicken’s acclaimed drama was nominated in the categories for Best National Feature, Best Actress (Luise Heyer) and Best Actor (Maximilian Brückner). The Jupiter Award is the biggest audience award in Germany and the voting process is online now. Click here to participate!

Sol Bondy

Sol Bondy

was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized as „Future Leader“ by Screen International and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program in 2013. In 2018, he was named one of the „10 Producers to Watch” by Variety. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.

Christoph Lange

was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.

Fred Burle

Fred Burle

is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as film critic, at The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College. He started working for One Two Films in 2017 and is now the company’s second producer.

Daniela Ramin

Daniela Ramin

was born and raised in Berlin. She started working in the industry in 2001 while studying arts at FU Berlin and UvA Amsterdam. She worked as assistant to the Head of Press of the Berlinale and as a producer for Dreamer Joint Venture Filmproduktion GmbH, where she stayed for 9 years. She also led a team of production managers for over 5 years at the German dubbing company SDI Media Germany. From April 2020, she joined our team as line producer.
