ARMAND Shortlisted for Best International Feature
We’re thrilled to share that ARMAND, directed by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel and starring Renate Reinsve, has been shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. Selected from 85 global submissions, Armand now stands among 15 films advancing to the next round of voting. A co-production between Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany, the film premiered at Cannes and secured North American rights with IFC Films, while Charades handles international sales. Congratulations to the entire Armand team on this outstanding recognition!
International Premiere for PETER HUJAR’S DAY at the 75th Berlinale
Our US-German co-production PETER HUJAR’S DAY by acclaimed director Ira Sachs will celebrate its international premiere in the Panorama at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival, taking place from February 13-23. Sales are handled by SBS. We congratulate our partners and the entire team for this recognition and their dedication to bringing this story to the screen!
KÖLN 75 celebrates world premiere at Berlinale 75
It is with great pride that we can announce that KÖLN 75 will premiere at the 75. Berlinale as Special Gala screening, just a few weeks after the 50th anniversary of Keith Jarrett’s groundbreaking The Köln Concert. The event in January 1975 redefined the boundaries of jazz and live performance and has been a significant cultural touchstone. Written and directed by Ido Fluk, the film stars Mala Emde and John Magaro. Bankside handles international sales while German distributor Alamode will release the film in March 2025.
PETER HUJAR'S DAY Premieres at Sundance
We are beyond happy to announce that PETER HUJAR’S DAY, directed by Ira Sachs and delegate produced by Jordan Drake, will world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, taking place from January 23 to February 2. Through a powerful re-creation of an audio-recorded conversation, the story delves into the personal and artistic legacy of influential queer photographer Peter Hujar, featuring stellar performances by Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall. Sales are handled by WME and SBS International.
ARMAND wins European Discovery Award
We’re overjoyed to share that ARMAND, the first feature film by director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, has been honored with the European Discovery Award at the European Film Awards. The award, selected by FIPRESCI members, shines a spotlight on new voices shaping European cinema. Congratulations to Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel and the entire ARMAND team on this well-deserved success!
Major Recognition for CALLE MALAGA and THE STATION from Eurimages
Two of our highly anticipated co-productions have received significant Eurimages Co-Production support. CALLE MALAGA, the latest feature by Maryam Touzani, was granted €500,000, while Sara Ishaq’s THE STATION, telling the story of Yemen’s civil war, received €150,000. This milestone reflects our commitment to diverse and impactful narratives. We are profoundly grateful for this support and look forward to sharing more exciting updates soon!
ABOUT US
One Two Films is a Berlin-based production company run by Sol Bondy and Fred Burle. Our focus is on feature films for the international market.
With our carefully selected projects we provide our partners with a home base. Working closely together, we produce high-class art house films aimed at A-festivals and widespread distribution.
TEAM
Sol Bondy
was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized as „Future Leader“ by Screen International and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program in 2013. In 2018, he was named one of the „10 Producers to Watch” by Variety. In 2019, he graduated from the Inside Pictures program. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.
Fred Burle
is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as a film critic, at The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival, and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College. Fred is member of the European Film Academy and alumni of EAVE Puentes program. He joined One Two Films in 2017 and became partner in 2023.
Daniela Ramin
was born and raised in Berlin. She started working in the industry in 2001 while studying arts at FU Berlin and UvA Amsterdam. She worked as assistant to the Head of Press of the Berlinale and as a producer for Dreamer Joint Venture Filmproduktion GmbH, where she stayed for 9 years. She also led a team of production managers for over 5 years at the German dubbing company SDI Media Germany. From April 2020, she joined our team as line producer.
Christoph Lange
was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.
