The County opens in January 2020 as Der Milchkrieg in Dalsmynni

After premiering at Toronto IFF and at Hamburg IFF, our Icelandic co-production opens in German cinemas on January 9th! The film is Grímur Hákonarson’s follow-up to Rams, which won Cannes Un Certain Regard back in 2014 and went on to get almost half a million admissions in Europe. International critics have been very positive. Alamode Film will distribute in Germany. New Europe Film Sales handles international sales.

German premiere of The County in Hamburg

Grímur Hákonarson’s latest feature will celebrate its German premiere competing at the Filmfest Hamburg. The film was reviewed warmly at its international premiere in Toronto: „Arndis Hronn Egilsdottir gives a commanding performance as Inga, Hákonarson keeps it focused and involving to achieve a satisfying conclusion“ (SCREEN) and „an audience-pleasing Icelandic drama that is the yin to ‚Rams‘ yang“. (VARIETY). The film will be released in Germany by Alamode and has already secured distribution in over 20 countries. Sales are handled by New Europe Film Sales.

The Most Beautiful Couple continues it’s successful festival run

Sven Taddicken’s latest feature keeps collecting prizes as it just won in two categories at Love is Folly Festival in Varna, Bulgaria – Best Actor Award to Maximilian Brückner and the Special Jury Award for Best Director to Sven Taddicken. Congratulations to both of them!

One Two Films’ founders part ways

The founders and managing partners, Sol Bondy and Jamila Wenske, have decided to part ways. Bondy will continue to run the company with investor and partner Christoph Lange. Fred Burle, One Two Films’ project manager since 2017, has started working on his own projects as a producer. One Two Films will continue to focus on international cinema. Jamila Wenske has taken her projects to a new home, Achtung Panda! Media GmbH.

The County at the Toronto International Festival

The latest feature by director Grímur Hákonarson will celebrate its world premiere in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019. The film follows up Grímur’s debut feature Rams, which won Un Certain Regard in Cannes back in 2015. It’s co-produced with Icelandic Netop Films, Danish Profile Pictures and French Haut et Court. SR / ARTE will broadcast in Germany and France. New Europe Film Sales handles world sales; Alamode distributes in Germany.

The Most Beautiful Couple in German cinemas

After an award-winning festival career, The Most Beautiful Couple is hitting the German screens on 2nd May! The film, distributed by Koryphäen Films, has also received a nomination at the German Film awards for Luise Heyer in the category of Best Lead Actress – with the award ceremony taking place the day after its theatrical release, on May 3rd.

Sol Bondy

Sol Bondy

was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized as „Future Leader“ by Screen International and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program in 2013. In 2018, he was named one of the „10 Producers to Watch” by Variety. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.

Christoph Lange

Christoph Lange

was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.

Fred Burle

Fred Burle

is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as film critic, at the world sales company The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College.

Alina Bohn

Alina Bohn

Alina Bohn was born and raised in Munich. After graduation from school, she did a trainee programme as a management assistant in audiovisual media. She worked as production assistant for the production company Kobalt Productions and on set of renowned series such as Babylon Berlin and Jerks.
