“Hello My Friend” is about the three students Katharina, Judith, and Benjamin who set out to Cuba on vacations. While she’s actually interested in using the Cuban structures for female sex tourism, a tender love story between Benjamin and Judith seems to emerge. The three of them get deeply entrapped in a maze of delusions, real feelings and those to be easily confused with sexual desire in the tropical island of Cuba. It becomes increasingly clear how much the three are in search of themselves.
